The 5th FinD-Info Days conference took place on May 12 and 13 in Portorož, bringing together professionals from the fields of tax, law, accounting, and finance. Organized by GV Založba in collaboration with Andersen, the event has become a regular opportunity to explore current topics, legislative changes, and practical challenges across these sectors.
The conference opened with a round table on real estate taxation, moderated by mag. Janja Ovsenik. The discussion focused on fairness, administrative burden, and the long-term effects of taxation on the property market, with contributions from Boštjan Udovič, mag. Ivan Simič, mag. Janja Ovsenik, Matija Urankar, and Ivna Medić.
The first section addressed the tax changes planned for 2025. Lucijan Klemenčič, Katja Božič, and Philip Christ presented updates relevant to startups, new legislative proposals, and developments in the Luxembourg tax framework.
In the afternoon, the spotlight shifted to the legal boundaries of tax oversight. Speakers dr. Erik Kerševan, Alenka Dolinšek, Uroš Čop, and dr. Jernej Podlipnik examined recent court decisions, procedural safeguards, and the evaluation of legal and economic substance in practice.
The second day opened with a session on digitalisation and reporting. mag. Mojca Kunšek, mag. Barbara Miklič, and dr. Marko Hočevar discussed the upcoming introduction of mandatory e-invoicing, gender pay reporting obligations, and the complexities of applying accounting standards in a digital environment.
The final section focused on AI and accounting. Presentations by mag. Saša Jerman, dr. Klemen Podjed, and dr. Mojca Gornjak explored legal restructuring, practical uses of artificial intelligence in financial work, and comparisons between Slovenian and international reporting standards.
As the 5th FinD-Info Days came to a close, the event once again provided a valuable opportunity for professionals to exchange views and stay informed on current developments in tax, law, accounting, and finance.
