(Intervention) Act on measures to optimise certain procedures in administrative units
23. 07. 2024 On 15 July 2024, the National Assembly adopted, under an urgent procedure, the Intervention Act on Measures to Optimise Certain Procedures at Administrative Units (ZUOPUE). The purpose of the adopted Act is to relieve the burden on the business processes at administrative units and to regulate the faster entry of foreigners into the labour market. The ZUOPUE will be published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia in the following days.

17. 06. 2024 Last week was notable for Law Firm Senica & Partners, as we had the rare and exceptional opportunity to present a legally complex case regarding waste management to 15 judges of the Grand Chamber of the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg. In representing our clients, we are fighting against a monopoly established in this field by the Republic of Slovenia.

Regional Moot Court Competition
08. 05. 2024 On 21 April 2024, the team of the Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana won the SEE Regional Moot Court Competition (SEE RMC) on knowledge of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) organised by the Civil Rights Defenders association, and secured a place in the European Moot Court Final to be held in Strasbourg in November.
