Maša Kramar, Senior Associate in Law firm Senica & Partners, joined a roundtable discussion with prof. dr. Rajko Pirnat from the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana and prof. dr. Marko Pahor from the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana, which Slovenian Press Agency organized on the hot topic of loans in Swiss francs. The issue with Swiss francs emerged right before the parliamentary election due to the newly adopted controversial Law on limiting and distributing currency value risks among creditors and borrowers of loans in Swiss francs. All participants agreed that the Law is populist, retroactive, and as such unconstitutional. Therefore, the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Slovenia should immediately suspend its implementation and repeal the Law.
