Who of us can imagine what it is like to live in eternal darkness and silence? Who among us has ever tried to eat dinner with our eyes closed and our ears covered? How about to cook it?

In cooperation with the Deafblind Association of Slovenia DLAN, we have drafted a proposal for a Law on the Regulation of the Status and Rights of Persons with Deafblindness, which was presented by our Senior Associate Matija Urankar at a public consultation in the National Council of the Republic of Slovenia. The proposed law implements Article 62a(2) of the Constitution of the Republic of Slovenia and represents an important step in protecting and improving the situation of one of the most vulnerable, but most neglected groups of people with disabilities.
