We are pleased to announce that Katarina Kresal, Managing Partner in our Law Firm, will be a penal speaker at the Women Leaders on the Frontline online event. 

The event's main topic is the role of Women Leaders in the time of Russian – Ukrainian war since their position is increasingly vulnerable to displacement, loss of livelihood, poverty, violence, and trauma.

Despite their active service and contributions to the general effort, women remain largely absent from formal decision-making processes related to peacemaking and rebuilding.

A key challenge in this regard will be reinforcing the ability of all Ukrainian municipalities to meet both their short-term reconstruction needs and longer-term planning for inclusive and sustainable recovery. Within this process, women must have a seat at the decision-making tables to ensure their perspectives are heard. 

Since many European cities have already experienced post-war reconstruction processes, and their experiences, especially in terms of gender-sensitive and participatory approaches, can help Ukraine, effectively and inclusively, restore its infrastructure.
