On 21 April 2024, the team of the Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana won the SEE Regional Moot Court Competition (SEE RMC) on knowledge of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) organised by the Civil Rights Defenders association, and secured a place in the European Moot Court Final to be held in Strasbourg in November.

The team successfully tackled a challenging case which raised several substantive and procedural human rights issues (abortion, degrading treatment, best interests of the child). They outclassed the competition. Kudos to the team (Neža, Tea, Ana and Urh).

Matija Urankar, Partner at our Law Firm, was a co-coach of the team. Caring for the younger generations is an important aspect of our work. If we combine this with human rights, which are a core value of our work, we have a winning combination! #PunIntended
