Grand Chamber of the Court of Justice of the European Union
17. 06. 2024
Last week was notable for Law Firm Senica & Partners, as we had the rare and exceptional opportunity to present a legally complex case regarding waste management to 15 judges of the Grand Chamber of the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg. In representing our clients, we are fighting against a monopoly established in this field by the Republic of Slovenia.
In the team from Law Firm Senica & Partners, MatijaUrankar, with the assistance of PiaNovak and in collaboration with AntoninaNečemer, MarušaSenica, and MiroSenica, professionally and convincingly presented our clients' anti-monopoly arguments to the 15 judges of the Grand Chamber of the Court of Justice of the European Union (#CJEU) in Luxembourg. He also delivered a rebuttal to the arguments presented by the representatives of the opposing parties.
The judges of the Grand Chamber of the Court of Justice of the European Union will answer several questions put forward by the Slovenian Constitutional Court in the preliminary procedure. The questions relate to the national measures' compatibility with EU law, specifically with the rules related to the single market, freedoms, and free economic initiative.
Representing our clients before the Grand Chamber of the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg was a rare opportunity for Law Firm Senica & Partners to demonstrate the best practices and high expertise of our professionals in front of such a prestigious forum. The entire team at Law Firm Senica & Partners considers this an exceptional recognition of our excellent professional work.
